PAINTING BY RENOWNED SPORTS ARTIST, SCOTT MEDLOCK
California artist Scott Medlock, known as “Scotty”, was a renowned sports artist who captured great athletes in great moments - both on and off the field - before losing his life to cancer at the age of 53 in 2021. Scotty achieved international success by realistically depicting the emotions of athletes in the heat of intense competition its aftermath. He painted many of the greatest names in sports history including golf legends Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Tiger Woods, baseball’s Babe Ruth, NFL Hall of fame star Dick Butkus, and LPGA star Natalie Gulbis. In 1996 Scott was commissioned to create a series of paintings for the Olympic Games.
